PASS — assembled in the USA
The Lexus TX qualifies on the assembly test. Assembly is one of four gates — you also need a new vehicle, personal use, a 2025–2028 loan, and income under the phase-out.
The short answer

The TX is the exception in the Lexus lineup: it is the first Lexus SUV assembled in the United States, built at Toyota's Princeton, Indiana plant alongside the Grand Highlander and Sienna. That makes the three-row TX the Lexus most likely to clear the OBBBA final-assembly test.

A US-assembly PASS is only the first gate. Each remaining condition has its own guide:

New & personal-use — used cars and leases don't qualify Loan dated 2025–2028 — refinancing keeps eligibility Income under the phase-out — run the MAGI calculator

Frequently asked questions

Is the Lexus TX made in the USA?
Yes. The TX is assembled at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana in Princeton, Indiana — the only Lexus SUV built outside Japan and a US final-assembly point.
Do the TX 500h and TX 550h+ hybrids also qualify?
They come off the same Princeton, Indiana line, so they clear the assembly test. Decode the VIN to confirm, and the new-vehicle, personal-use and MAGI rules still apply.
Are other Lexus models US-built?
No. The RX comes from Canada and the NX, ES and GX come from Japan or Canada. The TX is currently the only US-assembled Lexus.
